On a recent trip to Barbados, I was fortunate enough to meet and photograph the gorgeous Banfield twins. Only just 8 at the time, their ability to beautifully roll in and out of character was a true treat. We met for an early morning session at the hilltop Earthworks Pottery which hosted a variety of unique places to work within.
My approach to the session was to focus on posing that played into the fact that they are mirror images of one another, all while steering clear of stereotypical trappings. Additionally, I wanted to allow the closeness that they share as sisters to become a star focal point throughout the shoot. It was important to me that the images that we captured portrayed a high-end editorial feel all way still being approachable, not straying too far into fine art. I walked away from the session with some of my favorite images ever, though it's not too hard with these two.
