Not all headshot photography is trying to do the same job. A LinkedIn headshot shouldn’t look like an actor’s portfolio. The best headshots don’t all look the same. They aren’t supposed to.
The first question isn’t “Where should we shoot?”
It’s “What does this image need to do?”
Some clients walk in needing a polished executive portrait. Others are building a personal brand from scratch. Some need a casting portfolio. Every session starts in a different place because every image has a different purpose. The approach changes because the purpose changes.
That’s why we don’t start by talking about studios, backgrounds, or poses. We start with what the image needs to accomplish—where it’s going to live, who’s going to see it, and what you want someone to feel in the first few seconds they look at it.

Whether you’re updating LinkedIn, building a personal brand, or coordinating headshots for an entire company, every session begins with the same question.
What does the image need to accomplish?
The options below are simply different starting points.
A polished, natural portrait designed for LinkedIn, company websites, speaking engagements, press features, and professional profiles. You’ll leave with imagery that feels confident, approachable, and unmistakably like you—not stiff, overly posed, or interchangeable.
A versatile library of portraits and lifestyle imagery created to work across your website, social media, marketing, press, and content. Instead of relying on one photo everywhere, you’ll have a cohesive collection that keeps your brand looking intentional wherever it appears.
Consistent headshots that strengthen your company’s visual identity while still feeling authentic to the people in front of the camera. Ideal for companies, firms, schools, nonprofits, and organizations that want a cohesive look without sacrificing individuality.

Every project starts with what the images need to accomplish. The right session will get you the imagery you’ll ultimately need. Tell us what you’re working toward, and we’ll take it from there.
Not every headshot is trying to accomplish the same thing.
Whether you need one polished portrait for LinkedIn or a full library of branding imagery, we’ll choose the session that best fits how the images will actually be used. If you’re unsure, we’ll figure it out together before booking.
You don’t need to know how to pose before you arrive.
Most people I photograph aren’t in front of a camera every day. I’ll guide you throughout the session so the focus stays on conversation—not wondering what your hands are d
Consistency doesn’t have to feel corporate.
Whether we’re photographing five people or five hundred, the goal is a cohesive visual identity while still giving everyone a portrait that feels like themselves.
Your clothing should support the purpose of the session.
A Signature Headshot usually calls for one primary look, while Personal Branding sessions often include multiple outfits to create more variety and flexibility. I’ll help you plan everything beforehand.
The setting should support the story you’re telling.
Sometimes that’s a clean studio backdrop. Sometimes it’s your office, a city street, or somewhere that reflects your work. We’ll choose the environment that best fits the job the images need to do.
Every gallery is carefully curated so you receive the strongest images from your session—not hundreds of nearly identical frames to sort through.
Each selected image is individually edited in the signature Rockland Rue style and delivered through a private online gallery, ready for download and immediate use.
The best retouching is the kind you don’t notice.
For images that call for a little more refinement, additional detailed retouching is always available.
Whether that’s removing temporary blemishes, softening distractions, or preparing an image for publication or large-format print, the goal never changes.
The goal is never to make you look like someone else. It’s to make sure the final image still feels unmistakably like you.
A headshot, a new visual identity, an entire team—or something that doesn’t quite fit neatly into a box. It starts with a conversation. Together, we’ll figure out the images that can help get you there.
Tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll take it from there.
Prefer not to use the form? Rockland Rue can also be reached by email or through social. Whatever feels most natural, the conversation can start there.
