Every session starts with a conversation—not a shot list.
Some people show up with a Pinterest board. Others have no idea where to start. Either way, we’ll figure it out together. We’ll build the session around your personality, your style, and what feels natural to you—not around a checklist of poses you’ve seen a hundred times before.
By the end of the session, the goal isn’t just beautiful photos. It’s a collection that feels like your story, not someone else’s.

Most seniors don’t show up knowing exactly what they want, and they don’t have to.
From choosing outfits and locations to deciding on the best time of day, we’ll help you sort through the details together. We’ll answer questions, make recommendations, and help you build a session that feels relaxed, personal, and completely your own.
When your session day arrives, you’ll know what to expect and can focus on having fun instead of worrying about getting it right.
More Natural Than You Think
You don’t need to know how to pose, where to look, or what to do with your hands.
I’ll guide you through the entire session with simple direction that never feels forced. Some moments are carefully composed. Others happen naturally in between. Those are often the photographs people come back to again and again.
Nailing the perfect inspiration pose shouldn’t be on your mind. It’s about creating moments that feel effortless because they actually were.
Your Images, Perfected
After your session, the images from your collection are carefully edited in the signature Rockland Rue style before being delivered in your own private online gallery.
From there, you’ll select the images included with your collection for an added level of refinement through professional retouching. Collections that include artwork or printed products will also move into the design and ordering process before your gallery is finalized.
Once everything is complete, your finished gallery will be ready to download, share, and enjoy for years to come.
A Few Things to Know
Booking
Senior sessions often book several months in advance, especially during the summer and fall. If you already have a season or timeframe in mind, it’s always best to reach out early.
Locations
Every session is planned around locations that fit your personality and style. Whether it’s downtown, a favorite park, or somewhere meaningful to you, we’ll build the session together.
Outfit Changes
The number of outfits depends on your collection. We’ll help you narrow everything down ahead of time, so you arrive feeling confident and prepared.
Parents & Guests
Parents are always welcome, and if bringing a friend helps you feel more comfortable, that’s usually welcome too. The more relaxed you are, the better the experience tends to be.
Weather
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry. We’ll simply reschedule and choose another day that gives us the best light and the best experience. Your session deserves the best possible conditions.
Artwork, Prints & More
Once your gallery is ready, you can order artwork and printed products, as well as add more images if you’d like to expand your collection. Everything can be ordered directly through your online gallery.
